The Life Aquatic

I have decided to finish out this sketchbook with the water theme. Sometimes, this means adding random sea creatures into a picture to make it more aquatic.

Scribbled my way through some insomnia during the dark hours of the morning with a black pen. Came back and added the rest of the color & background later in the day while watching poorly made television movies. In all honesty, not too much brain activity went into this.

Anyway, I miss the Dior Boys of seasons past too. I do love a good planky boy here and there. (Nicked the pose from the new SS07 DH campaign.) Thought I'd do a pseudo-throwback to SS03 ...but underwater with a giant octopus.

Continuing the underwater theme, because I've recently been kinda fascinated by things with scales or tentacles. So, between the Krakens, Giant Cephalopods, Leviathans, Charybdis, and all that, I doubt I'll ever run out of fun sea monsters to entertain me. Mmm... yay.

I'm also looking for a pair of black patent pumps for under 30 dollars. (For fun, mostly.) So far, all I can find is a 4-inch spike on Zappos. Usually, any higher than 3 or 3.5 inches means I get a little wobbly. Hm. Ideas?

...I'm working on it. It's been a while since I've done a decent CG color. I keep getting that hand cramp from gripping the Wacom pen too tight. That wears off with practice, doesn't it? I forget.

Yeah. Someday, I'll consider doing something nice and finished. But for now, all you get is blue outlines and bendy-lookin' forearms. Her hair is a little too messy for my tastes, but I'm too lazy to fix it.

I hate planes, but like turbulence. Today was thirteen hours of flying over the Pacific. I was tired and naseous earlier, but now I just feel the sick and notsomuch the tired. But being home again is nice. I've missed everyone sorely. ('Specially the Minkies.)
